Guidelines for Parents

1. Admission and Enrollment:

  • No admission fees in the initial stage. A reasonable monthly fee will be charged.
  • Parents or guardians must complete a registration form with essential information about the child.
  • Only children aged 6 months to 3 years can be admitted.
  • A medical clearance certificate from KIMS or a qualified paediatrician is required.
  • Parents/guardians must sign consent forms for child participation, emergency treatment, and promotional photography.

2. Health and Hygiene:

  • Children with signs of illness should stay away from the Creche.
  • Medication can only be given with parental consent and as prescribed.
  • Parents/Guardians should provide at least two clothing sets for changing.

3. Safety and Security:

  • A strict child pickup policy to ensure children are only released to authorised persons.
  • Parents must show the Creche ID card when dropping off and picking up their child.

4. Daily Routine and Activities:

  • Only nutritious/healthy food sent by Parents/Guardians will be given to the children.
  • Parents can visit during operating hours.
  • Late pickups beyond 6.00 pm are not encouraged except in emergencies.
  • If health issues arise, parents will be informed.
  • Sick children shouldn’t be sent to the Creche.
  • The Creche is closed on Sundays and other holidays.
  • Parents can monitor their child through CCTV surveillance.

Guidelines for Staff

1. Health and Hygiene:

  • The creche must be clean, hygienic, and child-safe.
  • Proper hand washing is vital for both staff and children.
  • The creche must maintain up-to-date child immunisation records.

2. Safety and Security:

  • Children should always be supervised.
  • An emergency plan, including evacuation procedures, must be in place.

3. Daily Routine and Activities:

  • A structured daily routine is to be followed.
  • Activities should be age-appropriate.
  • Both indoor and outdoor play areas should be available.
  • Scheduled nap times should be in place for younger children.

4. Communication:

  • Parents/guardians should receive daily child reports.
  • Regular parent-teacher meetings should be held.

5. Code of Conduct:

  • The environment should be respectful and inclusive.
  • A clear, positive discipline policy should be enforced.

6. Record Keeping:

  • Document any child or staff incidents.
  • Maintain individual child development records.

7. Review and Update:

  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Regularly review the SOP.
  • Establish a feedback mechanism for continuous improvement.

8. Staff Timings and Protocol:

  • Report by 8.30 am and depart by 6.30 pm.
  • Both biometric and manual attendance systems will be used.
  • Personal health & hygiene reports will be maintained.
  • Special training, especially on feeding and fire emergency evacuation, will be provided.
